2019 1st Racial Harmony Day “Chan Soo Sen Cup” Xiang Qi Tournament has ended on a perfect note! It was a wonderful event of cultural integration, a constant inheritance of our Chinese traditional culture. The perfect combination of Chinese quintessence - Chinese chess and China baijiu!

 

 

After rounds of competing, we have finally reached the Award Ceremony!

Let’s congratulate the following champions in each of the individual categories:

Open group: Alvin Woo 吴宗翰 (Figure 4)

Senior group: Lum Yew Sum 林耀森 (Figure 5)

Women's group: Fiona Tan 陈茗芳  (Figure 6)

U18 group: Lim Jun An 林骏安 (Figure 7)

U12 group: David Chik 植彦杰(Figure 8)

We would like to thank Mr Chan Soo Sen, former Senior Minister at the Ministry of Education, for his honorary sponsorship (Figure 7, on the right), Mr Lin Guanhao, the President of Singapore Xiangqi General Association (Figure 7, in the middle) and Mr Charles Oon, the appointed “Permanent Honorary President” of Singapore Xiangqi General Association (Figure 7, on the left) for their influence in Singapore Chinese Chess development.
